The security deposit must be returned within 14 days after the end of the tenancy. If any deductions are made, the remaining amount must be refunded within 30 days.
The deposit may be used to cover:
- unpaid rent
- service charges
- damage to the property beyond normal wear and tear
- energy performance fee
- other outstanding items
A breakdown of any deductions must always be provided.
